OUCH

So today was the start of my Combat Life Saver training. (Yes Christopher, I think it's oxymoronic to o.) Its mostly stuff that would be covered in a Red Cross CPR class with some additions. One of those additions is how to put in a nasopharengeal tube. It is about 6 inches long and goes in your nose and down the back of your throat to just past your tongue so you can breath if you have trauma to your mouth area. Well for class we have to put on in  our class partner. Mine didn't know what he was doing and gave me a bloody nose. Anywho, while I was on a break I started to read a quarterly magazine for the Chem Corp and it mentiond that 16 billion of government funding went to bio research since 2001. 1.6 of it to construction of New research facilities. And last year we were supposed to have destroyed the last of our VX gas. The stuff in that movie "The Rock" was real and really that dangerous and its been sitting around for over 50 yrs!!! Wonder what I will learn in my extra cirricular reading tomorrow. I have started reading the book This Time Is Different-Eight Centuries of Financial Folly by Carmen M. Reinhart and Kanneth S. Rogoff. It is really good at drawing together lots of data about market conditions that led up to crashes but I don't agree with all the conclusions they hint at. They try not to be biased but it seeps through a bit. Still good though. I want to find the 33 questions book by the guy christopher has the video of on his books comment.
