As the appointed departure date drew closer, I found myself unable to sleep well as I was always thinking about what might happen when we made our epic journey to the Taw't Deram, the feared cannibals of Palawan. Not sure if I was more concerned about being AMONG the Taw't Deram or more concerned about how we were going to GET to the Taw't Deram, I was restless and prayerful.

I recently read the book Science's Blind Spot: The Unseen Religion of Scientific Naturalism by Cornelius Hunter, and it was an enlightening experience.

I came across this article on CNN just a few minutes ago. I thought this was an exceptional use of the internet for helping people in need. Maybe this is also the answer to keeping more government out of our lives. What a great idea.

At Christmas time each year, the battle once again heats up over references to Christmas. Businesses and government, as institutions that in some way reflect public sentiment, make decisions regarding how they will relate to the yuletide festivity.

My Adult 3 class is one of the hardest at this university. I am currently passing, but I didn't do as well on the last test as I would have liked to. My final is this Monday, and the reason I didn't do so well on the last test was because I was sick. I am currently still fighting the illness, so I stayed home from orchestra tour this weekend on strong recommendation.

There are times when a man falls prey to the notion of peace: when eternity appears far grander than tomorrow's victory. But there are no lacking reminders to the import of domination, though never are they invigorated with true founded substance; it is the sheer weight of persistence, of insistence, that never loses – or, at least, never admits a loss.
