Ever wonder if Miracles still happen?

I have been trying to get a ticket for my brother for some time. The first one that I bought, was some how not bought, so Somer and I began looking for another ticket a week and a half before he was to fly out. By that time all of the tickets had jumped from 1600 to 6000, a very large leap that I was not inclined to make. After searching for a while we found a paper ticket for 1500, the one and only 1500 ticket. I called the airlines only to find that they were no longer shipping to Spain with so short a notice. When I got back on to review the ticket it was gone, and I felt really bad because I figured my brother would not be able to have Christmas with us in the Philippines. But just to make sure all his fate was sealed I called another number to the airline only to find that they still had the ticket(1500), but I would have to send it to Spain. It was going to be close, but I bought it. This was the tricky part. The airlines would send it to me overnight, I would get it Friday morning get it in the mail by 11:00 and get it to Spain, or to make the equation more complicated, to Timothy by Tuesday morning so he can catch a train and fly out Thursday morning from Barcelona. To say the least I was worrying about it when I went to bed Thursday evening. Deciding there was no good reason for me to stew about it I decided to add God into the equation, a very smart move, I said God, I work from 8-12 on Friday and I have to get the ticket and send it before 11 when the mail goes out, so you will have to tell me when it gets here so I can come get it. In the morning I went to work and was busy trimming a bush at 9:50 when God said, " quick go get the ticket". so I went. I ran to the dorm, ran to my mailbox, and excitedly peered into an empty box, " thanks a lot God." Because I was already at the dorm I ran up to my room to get my hat, as I was running back out, God called again, " run back up and get your First Responder kit"

" I don`t need my kit until after work, I`ll get it when I am done."

" GO GET YOUR KIT"

"alright"

Back up the stairs, back down the stairs and as I darted through the front door, I almost ran the UPS man over who had a very suspicious flat envelope tucked under his arm. I quickly decided I was not in a hurry and watched as he gave the package to the desk worker who simply set it behind her and went back to work. I walked up and said, " does that say Stephanie George on it? I`ll take it." So I had the package. I ran down to shipping to find the UPS truck sitting in the parking lot. So I got it and got it sent. I do believe that God's watch works better than my own and I wonder why I don`t rely on Him more of the time. I have not heard if it got to Spain yet, but I think it is in good hands.

Wow, what a story!  Pretty remarkable that we have a God Who cares about the details of our lives - all the while orchestrating the entire universe and many more universes beyond ours!!

We are sitting in the Philippines anxiously awaiting the arrival of our kids.  We trust God to work out the details, since there is little we can do.  We know that if He doesn't work this out - He's got better plans and He'll help us deal with the disappointment.  Somehow though, I sense He just wants us to nestle into His arms fully trusting that He will give us the desires of our heart.

I praise the Lord that He's got Tim and Steph in His hands!  As well as the rest of our brood!!

Thanks for sharing this experience.  I'm glad you chose not to worry, but to trust.
