Mishaps in Spain no. 13

Hello everybody,

I have finished the second week of classes of the new quarter. I finally got my grades today. I was pretty discouraged, ´cause they are pretty bad. I got a C for my cello lesson, just cause I failed to show up a few times. Its not like me to skip class, but it really wasn´t my fault the times that I didn´t show up. There was a confusion with the schedule. They had actually told me wrong. I was sick one day. Told the dean, but I guess they failed to tell the teachers like they were supposed to. And the last time I guess could be counted against me although it wasn´t really my fault either. Hernan bought our train tickets for too early in the day, and so I had to leave before my cello lesson. I did try to tell them. I went to the department office, but whoever was supposed to be on duty wasn´t there.

There another class that I thought I had dome fine in, but when it come down to it, I got another C. There was also a class that I thought I was going to do really bad in, but ended up getting a decent grade anyway.

Well, this semester I am really going to try harder, so I son´t get bad grades again.

A bunch of people went to Carrefour today, I was going to go ´cause I needed to get some stuff, but I had to rehearse with the orchestra. I asked Brett to get the things for me. I needed some bath gel and a skateboard. Skateboards were only one euro. Well, when they arrived back he brought me my booty. He got the body wash, but he said that the skateboards were gone, so he but me some deoderant instead. I thought that that was rather curious trade off. Maybe he was trying to tell me something. I don´t know. Anyway.

I have to read another book this quarter for a class. I picked out a book at the library The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Las Aventuras de Tom Sawyer). Well, I had already read five chapters when I told the teacher what I was reading. She said that that was to easy, but I think that she just wanted me to read something from a Spanish author, so now I am stuck with an almost four hundred page hulk of a book by Isabel Allende called El Zorro: Comienza la leyenda.  It is about how Diego de La Vega become Zorro. All I can say is that it sure did take him a long time.

Well, Ya´ll know how I have been blogging every week about what has been happening here, so I was thinking that it would be really cool if someone there did the same thing, so I could know what was going on over there. Also because I just noticed that the very first item under recent content in my MIS no. 12 from last week.

I really can´t think of anything else that has been going on over here. Oh, we are having a Bible bowl tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping that my team is going to win. It is over the book of James. So I am going to study until 2 AM and them I am going to stream the vespers from Southern.

So goodnight.Tongue out

Dude, when you asked them if you did good in your classes, are you sure they said "C" and no "Si?"  Either way, congratulations!  You're doing far better than I would have done!
