Mishaps in Spain no. 24

Hello people. Sorry that I didn't write my blog at the time that I usually do. I was chatting with one of my friends at Southern friday night when a lighting bolt blew up somewhere just outside my window. It scared the livin junini out of me, so I immediately got up to go see if anydamage had been done. I didn't see any so I went back to my computer. Everything was frozen up and the computer wouldn't respond to anything, not even Ctrl/Alt/Del. Anyway so I restarted it and it did still work, but I have'nt had internet since then and nobody can figure out what's wrong with it. Some guy is supposed to come around and look at it tomorrow, so I hope he shows up although with how I've learned a lot of things go around here I'm not putting much stock in it. Anyway I am on my roommate Brett's computer right now and he is at the Gym and he doesn't know I'm using it, so I figured I'd keep this one short so as to counter balance the long one I wrote last week.

I recently chatted online with Megan, Rachel, and Alex. I think that they were all at Megan's house. It was nice to hear a good old redneck voice again. Made me remember the days when I could pass off as a redneck, not that I still can't, but they don't even know what that is here. There is one Brazilian dude that calls me blacky, so I call him whity, he's actually darker than me though I think.

Sabbath was good. It was a rainy Sabbath, so I got up early and made it too Sabbath school I haven't been in a while, but I didn't make it to the first service, but I like the second one better anyway. It was a half American and Portuguese guy that is a director here on campus so I could understand him a lot easier than some of these people that rattle on so fast you wonder if their brain really can go that fast too.

Today, Sunday, Brett, Craig, and I played a game of rapido out in the rain. You basically line up and take turns trying to kick a soccer ball in the goal and then it goes on the the next person. If you get scored on three times, you're out. We got kinda muddy, but it was more fun than I've had in a long time. Why was I born on to a world that belived in school, or at least into an age that belived in it?

I got about three pages of idiomatic phrases that I have to guess on tonight. I usually use on online dictionary, but since my computers down... I just got a brilliant idea. The first person to reply to this blog with the correct translation for the word lizard in Spanish will recieve not only an online pat on the back, but also an online smily similar to this one.  This is a big competition I know, but lets remember we're christians here, so I don't want to see anyone ripping others from the computer or drugging them, and definitely no biting!

Aright, let the mayhen begin!!!

papa thinks it is ligarta or ligartiho.  Forgive any misspellings.  We tend to spell as we would in Pelawan.  Do we earn a smiley face?  Glad to know why you've been off-line, thought perhaps you were off on another trip.  We've missed you!!

I am proud to present to our winners of the NLD "What's it called" contest that their answer of Lizard is coorect and that they shall now recieve each a smiley face, since it was a duel effort. I am rather disappointed though that there wasn't much competition and that the very first and only answer was the correct one. Good Job, but as for the rest of you. tu tut tu
