are you dissatisfied?

The question posed this morning in worship by Frank Fornier is how do we begin to have a revival in our life? This question is a common one and there are many "formula's" to work with. But just in case you were interested, here is another:

1. Is there dissatisfaction in our lives? We know that we need to have revival, we know that we need to spend time with God. We know that God wants us to share Him with others, BUT are we satisfied with the life we are living? If so, we cannot move on to...

2. A longing to be satisfied. If we are hungry, we find food. If we are thirsty, we find something to drink. If we are TRULY disatisfied with our life, won't we begin seriously looking for something more satisfying? If we begin the search, many have a good idea where to look...

3. Bible study. That is where we can find God, the Quencher of our spiritual thirst, the Bread of our spiritual hunger. And if we are studying the Word to find Satisfaction, it is a natural turn of events that we will...

4. DO what it says. Once we begin to Do what it says, our soul will begin to be filled with happiness and we will begin to...

5. Teach. Teach others what God has done in our lives and show them a happier, more satisfied life in Him. We will will want to share our testimony. And the teaching will be more successful than just teaching because we know that God wants us to "spread the gospel."

Each point builds off on another and it all begins with dissatisfaction.

I believe there are basically two things we will take to heaven. Our character and the souls that God has spoken to through us. May God bless us all as we look for true satisfaction that can only be found in the arms of our Savior!
