Weekend before last we got up at 4:30 on Saturday morning.  We planned to leave at 6:00 to make sure we had enough time to get to Papi Leo's church in Ahuachapan.  We werent sure exactly how long it would take.  I decided to go and make sure the guys were awake at 5:30, which they werent.  It took me a while to wake up one of them, I though I was going to have to throw someting at him through his window.  Never the less we were on the road by 6:00.  It was just Crissy, me, and the 4 band members.  I don't know whether I was going fast (100 kph sounds fast, but it's actually only about 60 mph), or if it was the lack of traffic, but we got there a lot earlier than we expected.  We got to hand out at Papi Leo house for almost an hour before we headed to the church.

The church was very small,  Not to wide, but fairly deep.  A simple concrete room, paint stained and peeling, plastic molded chairs, and a nice sound system.  (One of the big speakers faced out the side window.)   We weren't sure exactly what we were going to be doing - some speacial musics, some song services. . .  I never really knew, but the guys talked to who they needed to and got it all figured out.   They did a great job.  Manuel is a natural up front, and his voice is strong and melodic.  I think it really was a treat for this chuch.  They dont even have a piano and usually sing acapella, and not necesarily on key.  We had lunch at a chuch memeber's house next door.  It was quite a feast.  In the afternoon we had some more songs for an afternoon program.   All in all it went very well.  God blessed.  I am looking forward to going on another outing.  It is good for the kids to get out and to contribute to the church.
