Meriah update (Sunday, 11:45am)

Adam came out to go get some food.  He said Meriah has been sleeping since they started doing doing skin-to-skin, but that her little shivers have continued, though he thinks they have subsided somewhat.  These shivers are not normal newborn activity.  Adam wants Meriah to be held as much as possible.  The medical staff want to wait a bit longer before Crissy tries to nurse Meriah.

The neurologist said that Meriah is having sub-clinical seizures; that is, she is having seizures that have no physical manifestation.  The doctors haven't decided if they should medicate for the seizures or not.  The head doctor would prefer not to medicate due to the sedative effect.

Thurman's 3 year old granddaughter was almost killed in the car accident and doctors did not give her any chances. Today she is completely healthy due to Jesus. Hold on to God's Word. His promises are all "yes" in Jesus.

We had a seminar to present Friday night and all day Sabbath, but every chance we got we checked the website.  We're now back home and so happy to hear about the progress Meriah is making.  I am praying that if God has miraculously intervened in her little life so far, why not continue to press Him to heal her completely?  He is certainly able!  We have put the word out for as many people to pray as possible, and I believe it is happening.  Her sweet life is touching more people than you can imagine, and many are holding her -- and you all -- up in prayer.  We will pray specifically that the seizures stop, and that she is comforted and healed through being held and cuddled.  Adam and Crissy, she is an absolutely beautiful little girl, and we have fallen in love with her.

Much love to you all,

Jan & Bill

Thank you for the encouragement!  We are confident in Jesus.  We know that he will preserve little Meriah's life and restore her completely, or do something even better.
