3 weeks in the US

We just returned this past monday from a trip home.  It was a bit unexpected, and certainly a blessing.  It was great to see family, my new neice, and also the doctor.

Since being in El Salvador I have  had some nagging health problems.  Things that I had before, but more frequently.  When mom told us she found tickets for $300 we decided to go home so we could visit a Gastro Doctor.  It was amazing how God worked things out. We arrived late Friday night and were able to see a doctor the following Sunday while he was on call at the Hospital. We only had three weeks but we got all of our appointment in and still had time to go to the beach with the fam.

Well.  I have Crohn's Disease.  I'm not excited to have it, but I am glad to know what has been wrong with me for the last several years.  There is no cure for Crohn's, no medicine that is consistantly effective, basically I will have it for the rest of my life.  Fortunately I have a mild case, nothing like what some people I have read about have experienced.

After much reading and research Crissy and I have decided that our best approach is to try and manage it using natural methods.  We have read many more positive success stories of people who have used the natural approch than those going the medical route.  There are many openions on how to treat Crohn's, so we are going to take the commons threads and do some experimenting.  Please pray for us during this process.  We are going to stay here and continue working as long as God keeps me healthy.

Feel free to share if you know anything about Crohn's or Colitus.  We are always looking for new ideas and experiences.
