Advice for us Youngsters

I don't really know what to write, but I feel bad for never posting anything.  It kinda seems like I don't really exist on here anymore (all my fault of course).  So I was trying to think of something that I could post, but I haven't been so good at...um...talking I guess?  I don't know, I just have kinda kept to myself lately.  It seems easier, but I don't think it's the best thing in the world.  Well, I was thinking that we should have some sort of forum topic thingy-ma-bob for advice for the younger members of nolessdays.  I don't know if that made sense...

So...yeah...sometimes I have a hard time keeping up with my morning devotion.  Actually, like all the time.  What do you wiser folks do in the morning for devotion and stuff?

Suggestion #1

Go to bed early.  Get up early (earlier).

Welcome Home DogWhisker!

Good to have you on; we missed you! Devotions: Actually, I struggle with the same thing! One thing that has helped me is to plan it, put it on my TO DO list, and make it part of my morning routine. I know the TO DO list thing sounds like "obligation" & "salvation by works", etc., etc. But I also know this is important & it's what's been helping me lately.... :) Other suggestions anybody?

I find that it helps to have

I find that it helps to have something specific that I am reading or studying each morning, rather than just randomly opening my Bible. It gives me more motivation and purpose somehow. Sometimes writing out my prayers is helpful too (especially if I'm feeling sleepy). Also if I do miss that early morning time, don't give up and wait until the next day to take time with God. I try to take a little time out at a later time in the day. And pray to Him throughout the day. I also want to get back in the habit of carrying my verse pack around with me and memorizing throughout the day (do you still have yours?).

You've been missed

Just wanted to say that we have missed you, and are glad you're back Smile When do you leave for CBR? Will you have e-mail access there?

Quit your job and move to a remote area in Montana.
