Peter declares Paul's writings "hard to be understood"

I'd missed it before; Peter warns us against being deluded by "unlearned and unstable" individuals who misuse the "hard to be understood" writings of Paul.  Check it out: II Peter 3:15-16.

 What are you referring to?

christopher says:

And account that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. -- II Peter 3:15-16 LKV

It sounds to me like Peter was warning folks that some of Paul's writtings were being misused.

Just curious if there was something specific in Paul's writings you were refering to.  A specific subject.

No, I just thought it was interesting to realize that Peter thought Paul's writings were sometimes difficult to understand.  I know there are plenty of folks today (myself included) who agree.

In a sense, we can take this as a warning when studying the writings of Paul.
