Founding Faith

I am reading a book, Founding Faith (How Our Founding Fathers Forged a Radical New Approach to Religious Liberty) by Steven Waldman. I have read 52 of the 205 pages and so far I have to say it is very interesting.  The author seems to really bring alive John Adams, Patrick Henry, Ben Franklin, etc.  And a lot of the history centered around religion was left out of our school history classes.  Or maybe I have just forgotten it in my 'old' age!  Here is one quote from the back of the book:

"Steve Waldman makes the strong case that the culture wars have distorted how and why we have religious freedom in America.  Americans can be inspired by this story--the extraordinay story of freedom of religion."---William J. Bennett, author of America:  The Last Best Hope.
