Demons, a helicopter, and well intentioned people

Some may remember the demon harassment that Nurgina suffered.  During an attack, the demons threatened that they were going to cause problems for her, Silu, and my parents, who are working to spread the good news of Jesus among the Pelewan people.  I just got off the phone with my mother, and it is clear that the demons are serious.  Join me in praying for these people.

My mother, Leonda George, is away from the mountains right now, working hard to complete writing/translating a large set of bible studies; she has been out of the mountains for several weeks now.  My father, Kent, and in-the-process-of-being-adopted sister, Dyilin had just hiked out of the mountains to go see my mom, when they received a call on the radio about several individuals who were apparently suffering from demon harassment/possession -- so trip canceled.  They hiked back in, and have been working with church members waging spiritual warfare against Satan's hoards.  Of course, God is winning -- but the demons don't give up easily.  The more we pray, the better.  The reported sitings of demons spiritual harassment has currently subsided.

Interestingly, one of the young men who was suffering from demon oppression, would, when in his spell, direct a great deal of hatred towards Nurgina – an apparent fulfillment of the demons' threats.

Just recently, my parents received a mandate -- no discussion, no options, just a cold command -- to cease the use of the helicopter for all American personnel.  This directive comes from Adventist Frontier M*******, the organization that employs them.  It's amazing how the devil finds ways to use organizations like this to distract and discourage those who are working on the front lines.  Apparently there is some sort of insurance concern, but pray that God will work with the individuals in leadership positions in this organization to find ways to enable their workers to accomplish God's purpose, rather than passing on problems, to the discouragement of those on the front lines.

Silu is a young man who has struggled with his faith for a number of years now.  He is currently gallivanting in Manila, apparently following after his own desires.  Pray for him.
