Overdue. . .

This blog entry is coming embarrassingly after the fact. But I wanted to tell, just briefly, of the miracle that God performed to get Raquel back to the Hogar. Thinking about it makes me smile with wonder.

Since I refrain from watching much  TV, especially the talking heads variety, my only exposure to Keith Olbermann comes via the net. I find him to be entertaining and often I agree with him.

a second joy of motherhood

For the last couple of weeks, Sarah has been spending the first half of her nap in bed and the second half of her nap (after crawling to find me) in my arms. Sometimes I read while she is sleeping, sometimes I'm on the internet, but many times I just sit back in the chair, feel her warmth and delight in the opportunity to have this close moment with her.

Here are some pictures from the outing we went on with house 5 a coulple of weeks ago.  One of the SM's gave them to us.  We all went to a waterpark here that was really pretty, but really packed.  It was basicaly a free for all!  Things are just different here.  No lifeguards, and you have to pay for the bathrooms.  You can imagine what a 5 year old would do if th

so this is my last day of school pretty much. no point in coming anymore after today.  technically the last day is thursday.  but for example i've played cards all morning in one class.

  • Any position of authority is an opportunity for abuse/corruption.
